Dancing Daisy
This graphite botanical illustration was created after my first summer camp class! I was cleaning the tables and putting supplies away, but could not stop looking at the flower specimen that the class had drawn. It seemed to call my attention as it stood in its vase on the table! With the energy that teaching had given me, and the joy of seeing the beautiful flower still standing so tall, I began to draw. I did not stop until I was finished. It was evening by the time I finished. So I went to bed. The next morning, my son and I walked into the garage together and he saw the drawing. “That daisy looks like it is dancing!” he said. And, the name stuck. Dancing Daisy.
