Cotton Bolls #2
The series of cotton bolls were created after driving through the panhandle of Texas and seeing the white fields of cotton waiting to be harvested. When I saw them, I thought how fun it would be to bring back stems of cotton to show my students and to have them draw! So, I found a field with a farmer in it and asked him if I could take some with me. He was so kind! He said that most people just help themselves to what they wanted, but since I had asked, he said that he would help me fill my car with stems of cotton for each student! I was so excited!!And the students enjoyed having stems of cotton to take home! (These drawings are made by using an eraser as a drawing tool!)
