Wilderness Ranch

This is where we first met in the 1990’s. And this is where we return to share the goodness of relationship and mountain beauty. As we plan and gather, we bring pieces of ourselves: games we like, toys for the mountains (fishing supplies, bikes, hiking gear, hammocks), books, good food and sometimes a craft. This year, I brought a craft that took most of a day to create! It involved design, sketching, making a template, and painting the product - our own t-shirts! Only part of the crew designed and created, and the other part went on adventures in the mountains. At the end of the day, we all gathered in the big cabin with the t-shirts displayed across the couch. Then, we asked the ones who had gone adventuring to try to connect the t-shirts to their correct creator! It was fun to see how our personalities came out in our designs!!

The personality of a person really does show itself when a person relaxes into their work. It was fun to see this in my friends and to watch their joy and laughter bubble up as they created.

I am glad to be an artist and to share this gift with others.
