A friend’s Garden

Most mornings I walk our neighborhood in Colorado Springs. It is a wonderful place where people walk, ride bikes, push strollers, and garden. One day, I knocked on a neighbor’s door and asked if I could sit in her yard to sketch her echinacea flowers in my journal. She was thrilled to share her garden and i met a new friend. Before sitting down to sketch, she invited me to see the backyard. It was just as beautiful and inviting as the front yard. The bees and butterflies were visiting that day, too. So, a bee is included in the sketch.
